| | | The Pharmaceutical Industry Project Management Group: This is an informal organisation which holds twice-yearly conferences on current project management topics. They are among the most useful meetings I attend.
The Institute of Clinical Research: This is the premier association in Europe for clinical research professionals. I have been a member since 1987, and have recently been elected a Fellow.
The Institute of Biology: The professional body for all biologists. I have been a member since 1973, have served on the Biomedical Sciences Committee, and currently serve on the editorial board of its journal `Biologist'.
HealthWatch is a charity which works in support of evidence-based medicine, of which I am an active member. Its president is the broadcaster Nick Ross. The newsletter carries one of my articles, and there is an extract here.
I also work with Sense About Science, a charity founded by Lord Taverne. If you read nothing else this year, do read his latest book `The March of Unreason'. Below is a link to a recent publication on peer review:
